In 2016 Spamberguesa had written stories about the Elvenking Thranduil and an improbably scrappy Irishwoman named Lorna Donovan. Some were set in Middle-earth, others in Ireland. AnnEllspethRaven read and appreciated them as a break from her first forays into also imagining elaborate adventures in the Woodland Realm. 

Ann wanted to write an extra little story, and thought of Lorna in Ireland, musing 'why not?  Everyone seems to set their stories in England.' But the first time it was necessary to write Irish dialogue...uhm...uh-oh. Time to message Spamberguesa. One message became two. Three. Then...what if Lorna visited the character in this new story? Irish, and all that? It could be fun! Seven years. 6.2 million words later. Do you wonder how we made it from there to here? Well...
